Does the library have popular newspapers, magazines or DVDs?

Does the library have newspapers online or electronically?

Answer

Newspapers: Quick links to all of our e-newspapers may be found on our News Research guide. Detailed information on accessing the digital, or dot com, edition of The Washington Post and The New York Times is provided by main campus's Lauinger Library. In print, we carry the last three months worth of newspapers, like the Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Post and Financial Times, at the Circulation Desk.

Magazines: Popular magazines may be found in the Williams Reading Room, near the Loewinger Lounge area.

Popular Books: The Law Library purchases some bestsellers and newly published novels each year and houses these in the Popular Reading collection. You will also find coffee table books in Loewinger Lounge.

DVDs: Popular DVDs may be found in the Reading Room's business center, just beyond the popular reading collection. (Please see our FAQ on streaming videos.)

Law students may request popular novels, movies, and games from main campus Lauinger Library, as well as from local academic libraries. Conduct a "Georgetown U. + Local Libraries" search through our library catalog and then submit a "Request from a Local Academic Library." Students may also apply for membership with the D.C. Public Library and gain access to their ebooks and audiobooks and streaming services.
