Where is the library's microfilm and microfiche collection and what is in it?

Answer

The library's microflm and microfiche collection are located in Media Services on the first floor. The microforms are housed in cabinets arranged in rows. The rows are marked with letters and each cabinet in the row is marked with a number. In our catalog, a material that is in the microform collection will have "Micro" in the call number.

There is a print Microform Location Guide in Media Services. Please use the guide to locate the row and cabinet that houses the material you need, but feel free to ask for assistance at the Reference Desk.

In general, our microform collection contains past U.S. federal and state legislative, executive and administrative materials; past legislation and cases of foreign jurisdictions; historical materials (e.g. papers ot the NAACP, treaties, personal papers); past U.S. newspapers and law reviews, both U.S. and foreign; briefs and records of U.S. Supreme Court, D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals and Federal Circuit Court; United Nations documents; trial materials of historically significant cases; and more.
